By combating childhood-juvenile cancer and contributing to the rescue of the citizenship, dignity, and quality of life of its patients and caregivers, Casa Durval Paiva has cared to oncological and hematological cases in the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Ceará, Piauí and Sergipe for more than two decades.
Nowadays, the institution has an average of 100 collaborators specialized in several areas, such as social workers, psychologists, dentists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists, doctors, pharmaceutists, pedagogues, educative art, and ITs, all of whom make up a multidisciplinary team, as well as volunteers dedicated to the cause.
The Casa also offers group rooms, handicrafts, pedagogical support and computing; physiotherapy ward, occupational and pharmaceutical therapy; interactive and ecumenical spaces; living area, transport, bazaar, auditorium, dormitories, kitchen, dining hall, and laundry. In addition to the central donation, IT, financial, administrative sector, HR, and institutional development.
Essential to the state of health of these people, as well as the coexistence with the familiar problems caused by the disease, the Casa Durval Paiva, aiming to provide the best assistance, developed some projects with proposals focused on the humanization and social inclusion of those cared by the Institution.
