Casa Durval Paiva is named the Best NGO in Brazil by Instituto Doar ("Donate Institute")

The Casa Durval Paiva was elected the Best NGO in Brazil in the second edition of the Guia Melhores Ongs ("Best NGOs Guide"), held on Thursday (1) at the Museum of Modern Art - Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo/SP. The award is an initiative of the Instituto Doar ("Donate Institute") and the Rede Filantropia ("Philanthropy Network"), who received more than 2,500 entries from all over the country. In 2017, the Casa Durval Paiva had already been considered the best NGO in the Northeast of Brazil, also figuring among the 100 best in the country.

The award is the result of the work of many who have embraced the cause and help in the quest for the patients' recovery and the transformation of the social reality of hundreds of assisted families, as Rilder Campos, president of the institution, emphasizes. "This award is the sum of the strengths of hundreds of donors, partners, volunteers, collaborators, and sympathizers of our cause. We only have to thank God and all of those who, along with us, seek to do a transparent and excellent work exercising their solidarity and rescuing the citizenship of children and adolescents in the Rio Grande do Norte," he says.

The Best NGO award was created to value philanthropic organizations that stand out for their work for the society, with good management practices and transparency. To this end, the administrative, accounting, financial and communication processes are evaluated to select the 100 best among more than 800 thousand institutions in action in the country. The delivery of certificates and trophies was covered by the Editora Globo - Época Magazine, Folha Group, and other media. With this work, the Instituto Doar ("Donate Institute") and the Rede Filantropia ("Philanthropy Network") seek to stimulate the continuous improvement of the management of entities and create spaces of visibility for the NGOs to find more donors.
