Campanha do Diagnóstico Precoce (Early Diagnosis Campaign)

It aims to clarify the population of Rio Grande do Norte about the most common signs and symptoms of cancer in children and adolescents. The Campaign warns of the importance of early diagnosis in obtaining cure and treatment without sequelae.
Period: Since 2002.
Activities: In partnership with the Health Regionals, the professionals of the RN are trained and, in parallel, publicity campaigns are made in the media, such as radio and television stations, newspapers, billboards, busdoors, pamphlets and posters in the municipalities visited by the team of the campaign. In public and private schools the play "Quanto mais cedo melhor" is presented, which addresses the theme. These actions extend to 167 municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.
