In all, 1,560 organizations have signed up. Of these, 527 had validated submissions and 150 were pre-selected by an executive committee based on performance presented. The awards took place in São Paulo / SP, highlighting the best in each category, the best in each region and the best of the year. The top 100 institutions received a Quality Seal as a way to create a stimulus for NGOs and a showcase for potential donors if they decide to help them.

"Our goal is to encourage the dedication of those who are doing a good job," says Marcelo Estraviz, president of the Doar Institute. There are 300,000 NGOs in Brazil, according to the latest survey of Private Foundations and Non-Profit Associations in Brazil, the IBGE and the Institute of Applied Economic Research. "We want to highlight the organizations with the best management and transparency, which are more prepared to receive donations from individuals, "he explains." In order to list the best NGOs, the institutions were evaluated according to their alignment with the cause, strategy of action, representation, management, planning, financing strategy and accountability to society.

The Casa Durval Paiva has the mission is to assist children and adolescents with cancer and chronic hematological diseases and their families, also contributing to the transformation of their life reality. The institution has already passed 1,340 patients since the foundation. Today, 1080 are registered, of these, 538 are under treatment. The House offers hospitality, lodging, meals, medical care in the hospital; referrals and transportation for examinations and consultations; in addition to promoting wellness, with multiprofessional support - psychological, social, nutritional, physiotherapeutic, odontological, pharmaceutical, pedagogical, therapeutic and occupational therapeutics. It has also built 86 houses and reformed 126 patients' homes through the Life Project. The actions of Casa Durval Paiva reach 133 municipalities in Rio Grande do Norte, also receiving patients from Paraíba, Piauí, Sergipe and Ceará.
